The celebration of “Buddha’s Birthday” is the largest traditional Buddhist event spanning more than a thousand years. The annual event, which begins one week before his birthday in May lasts for about two weeks. The “Lantern Parade” is the highlight of the event, which is said to have begun during the Goryeo Dynasty. Through the temple stay program, you can experience Korean Buddhist culture and appreciate the beautiful lotus lantern in the temple. You can participate in the Lantern Festival and experience the scenes and sights of the profound meaning of "Lighting the lantern to light up the dark world with Buddha's wisdom."
